In LifeMiles you can redeem your miles for Upgrades to Business Class in all flights operated by Avianca and TACA. To enjoy your Upgrades with Miles, you must keep this in mind:

• Only valid for Avianca,TACA, LACSA or TACA Peru flights.
• It may be granted if there is availability in the upgrade Business Class (Class I).
• People you choose can also enjoy this benefit, in order to do so, the transaction must be done by the miles’ owner.
• It will be available only through Avianca and TACA’s Call Center, after the ticket has been issued.
• For domestic flights in Colombia and Peru you can get the upgrade in all rates except Promo rate.
• For international and transatlantic flights, it can be granted in all commercial rates.
• You can also apply for the upgrade in domestic or international flights when redeeming a ticket in the product All Seats

Now you can enjoy your LifeMiles for upgrades from Economy Class to Business Class or from Business Class to First Class on flights of Star Alliance airlines members. To request an upgrade please consider the following:

• Your ticket must be purchased in Y or B classes to upgrades to Business Class, or in C or D classes for upgrades to First Class on any Star Alliance carrier. Some airlines allow upgrades from other classes, find out more information.
• You can only request an upgrade for up to 2 flight segments.
• Your booking must contain a maximum of 4 passengers.
• Codeshare flights upgrades do not apply.
• You will receive immediate confirmation if your upgrade was processed successfully or not when making your request.

Your LifeMiles allow you to travel better: use them for upgrades when traveling with Avianca or TACA.

Here is what you need to do:

• Verify the amount of e-Coupons you need for traveling in Business Class by clicking here.
• Only valid for Avianca, TACA, LACSA or TACA Peru flights.
• Available in all international routes except the transatlantic ones.
• When booking your ticket please provide your LifeMiles number and make sure you purchase any of the available fares in economy class, note that for domestic flights in Colombia and Peru Promo fare does not apply. For international flights there is no restriction on the fare.
• Activate your e-Coupons at least 72 hours prior to your flight through the nearest Avianca or TACA Information Center or by calling our Call Center. We recommend you to choose the “automatic” e-Coupon feature in "Your Information and Preferences" through LifeMiles.com so you don’t have to activate your e-Coupons each time you travel.
• You will receive an email confirmation from 48 hours up to 24 hours before your flight departure.
• Additionally, if you are an Elite member and you redeem a ticket on the product Limited Seats you can apply to an upgrade with e-Coupons, both international and domestic flights.

You can enjoy exclusive benefits as a Diamond Elite LifeMiles member. Now you have available four LifeMiles Upgrade Certificates to Business Class.
To enjoy your LifeMiles Upgrade Certificates, please keep this in mind:

• Only valid for  Avianca, TACA, LACSA or TACA Perú flights.
• Every time you achieve or renew your Diamond status, you will earn four LifeMiles Upgrade Certificates.
• They do not have expiration date, as long as you keep your Diamond Elite status.
• The upgrade may be granted if there is availability in Business Class (Class I).
• People you choose can also enjoy this benefit, in order to do so, the transaction must be done by certificate’ owner, the Diamond member.
• These LifeMiles Upgrade Certificates will be available only through Avianca and TACA’s Call Center, after the ticket has been issued.
• For domestic flights in Colombia and Peru you can get the upgrade in all rates except Promo rate.
• For international and transatlantic flights, the upgrade can be granted in all commercial rates.
• You can get upgrades for tickets redeemed with miles in the product All Seats in both international and domestic flights.
